Take a break from the heat and step into L’OCA Labs, where you’ll spend the evening exploring colour, texture, shape, and, of course, your creativity.
To kick off the experience, enjoy a welcome glass of prosecco. Additional beverages will be available for purchase a la carte throughout the class.
Surrounded by good company, Mary, our lead florist, will guide you step by step as you create your own seasonal arrangement, sharing expert tips along the way to help you craft something personal and beautiful.
No experience is needed. Just bring your curiosity and a love for all things floral.
About your instructor
Mary Eldridge
After completing her horticulture education at Olds College in 2014, Mary worked for two years in the U of A greenhouses, where she ventured into various sectors of the industry, including landscaping, cut flower production, and indoor crop cultivation.
Over the past three years, she has combined her passions for plants and design by immersing herself in the floral world.
Mary especially enjoys expressing her creativity through floral arrangements, particularly when using unique flower varieties!
For Mary, floriculture embodies the concept of biophilia—the innate human desire to connect with nature, and she is a firm believer in the transformative power of plants and is dedicated to helping others experience this connection.
Whether through beautifully curated blooms, educational initiatives, or functional herb gardens, she finds success in anything that brings joy and fosters a deeper appreciation for nature.
