Things to know
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to allow for seating.
Ayurveda (Sanskrit for "knowledge of longevity") is rooted in a 5,000-year-old Indian tradition that views food as healing, using specific spices, herbs, and fresh ingredients to balance the body, aid digestion, and promote overall wellness.
Nourish: Ayurvedic Vegetarian Indian Cooking introduces you to the gentle wisdom of Ayurvedic traditions, where food is prepared with intention, harmony, and meant to be enjoyed slowly.
You'll begin with VEGETABLE KHICHDI, a deeply nourishing one-pot dish of rice, lentils, and vegetables, traditionally enjoyed for its grounding, calming qualities.
From there, you'll prepare TANDOORI VEGETABLES and explore how warming spices and mindful cooking bring vitality to seasonal produce.
A refreshing SPROUTED MOONG SALAD will add lightness and clarity to the meal, while MASALA CHAAS, a cooling spiced yoghurt drink, supports digestion.
Throughout the class, L’OCA’s Chef Ram will share insights on how Ayurveda views food as a tool for harmony, and how spices, textures, and temperatures work together to nourish both body and mind.
You'll leave Nourish: Ayurvedic Vegetarian Indian Cooking with practical recipes you can return to again and again, feeling nourished, balanced, and deeply satisfied.
